Fluvial Geomorphology | Remote Sensing | Flooding

I am a fluvial geomorphologist interested in capturing the dynamics of global rivers.

Recent postdoctoral research has focused on: (i) quantifying geomorphic hazards in the Philippines (University of Glasgow); and, (ii) monitoring global river flooding (University of Birmingham).

I use satellite imagery and big geospatial datasets to understand the risks that river-related hazards pose to people and infrastructure. In the next few years I hope to continue to develop methodologies to map and measure how rivers move across dynamic landscapes, revealing the exposure of population to river channel change.
